OPEN Saturdays and Sundays April-December, 11:00am-5:00pm

All our wines are made by hand from grapes grown on our property or sourced locally. Chuck, the winemaker, grew up drinking wine and early in his Navy career was stationed just outside Napa Valley, making weekend trips with his wife, Ana, to taste wines and enjoy the romance of the hills covered with vines. After Retiring fron the Navy, and while attending the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, Chuck was reintroduced to wineries in the Livermore Valley. With a rekindled interest in wine and winemaking, Chuck spent considerable time around wineries and assisting in all facets of the process as a “cellar rat”. Moving to Virginia in 2008, Chuck and Ana planted 400 vines in their front yard, culminating in the creation of Cardamon Family Vineyards. All grapes are picked by hand, crushed, pressed in a basket press and most are fermented and/or aged in oak. We pride ourselves in creating small batches, where we can have fun and maximize the fruit character, without compromising the vintage. We are not a major winery trying to homogenize each vintage to produce the same product year to year. Our available wines are based on access to great locally produced fruit.
