Wild Rose Soap Co. was founded in 2010 by Michelle, a third generation soap maker. While practicing as a pediatric nurse at NIH in Washington, D.C., Michelle began making soap to carry on her Grandmother Rosie Wild’s tradition. Soon after, she began teaching soap making classes, and selling at local farm markets and festivals, along with her husband, Andrew. Moving to West Virginia’s oldest town, Shepherdstown, in 2013, Wild Rose Soap Co. began to incorporate local ingredients such as coffee, honey, whiskey, wine, beer, lard, tallow, snow, rainwater, and herbs grown in their garden to make soaps. Find them at the Charles Town, WV farmer’s market, festivals, and their products can be found at many fine retailers in West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
