Escaped inmate missing in Jefferson County UPDATE: Apprehended
Update May 3 Fugitive has been located and apprehended in Kearneysville. The police were able to secure footage of him in a sheetz in MD(don’t exactly understand how that happens but sure). His 25 year old girlfriend was also arrested for aiding him. Victim in fatal crash along W.Va. 9 identified
Monday morning, a ford pickup veered off the road and hit a bridge support. The driver, who passed away, was identified as Stephen Andrews, 42, of Martinsburg, WV. Rte 9 was closed for 3 hours after the accident was reported at 10:16 am Monday morning. Link to full story

The lake below Charles Town
A Chicago reporter wrote a story about the cave located below Charles Town, WV and caused a little panic. He claimed to receive a telegram saying caves were located very near the earth’s surface and people would need to evacuate, possibly the whole city.
