Micro Greens are not the same thing as Sprouts.

A spout uses only the nutrition stored in the seed to produce a small plant, this is done without water.

Microgreens are grown in soil, the plant is able to go through its Cotyledon growth stage which is usually the first set of true leaves.  During this stage, the plant is able to convert nutrition from the soil and provide a much healthier ‘sprout’ to consume.

Established July 2016, Mike Godrey wanted to provide the local home and professional chefs with a high quality source of Micro-Greens.

You can find him at the Charles Town farmers market on Saturday mornings, or give him a call to find other ways you get your hands on his healthy and delicious produce.
